Corporate Volunteering Consultancy

Not only do we run the largest volunteering service in NSW, we've also helped some of Australia's leading companies use corporate volunteering as an ongoing business strategy.

The Centre for Volunteering's Corporate Volunteering consultancy service assists companies to develop their Corporate Volunteering Program. The Centre also assists companies to enhance an existing corporate volunteering program.

If you wish to engage The Centre to assist you with an employee volunteering program, The Centre will meet with you to discuss what particular business or brand strategies you would like to promote by incorporating an employee volunteering program in your corporate social responsibility objectives.

Secondly, The Centre can advise you about the optimal opportunities available in relation to the size, composition and management of your volunteer team or individual staff opportunities – and also liaise with your volunteer team manager to discuss the staff's particular interests, aims or objectives.

Thirdly, The Centre uses its Volunteer Referral Service to help you find suitable volunteering opportunities. As the peak body for volunteering in NSW, hundreds of not-for-profit member organisations rely on The Centre to act as a conduit to corporate engagement. Therefore, The Centre can offer companies a wide range of volunteering activities to choose from.

Fourthly, The Centre will discuss with you, your employee volunteering program to ensure that it is fulfilling the aims, interests and objectives of your company's strategic program as well as the aims of your individual volunteer team members, while at the same time offering genuine support for a not-for-profit partner.

And finally, The Centre will assist you to evaluate the employee volunteering program to ensure that it meets the expectations of your individual volunteers, that it offers a genuine support to the not-for-profit and that it truly meets the objectives of the company's corporate social responsibility goals.

Users of The Centre's Corporate Volunteering consultancy service receive a free Bridge to Volunteering training session for twenty staff members in your office. Bridge to Volunteering is a two-hour information seminar designed to assist prospective volunteers to make an informed choice about volunteering.

Upon signing up for our consultancy service you will be given our comprehensive Corporate Volunteering Resources Kit. The kit contains information on leadership, knowledge and best practice.

You will also have access to our new accredited qualifications volunteers through our School of Volunteer Management (SVM). The Certificates I, II & III in Active Volunteering were developed by Volunteering Australia in response to demands from the NFP sector. The qualifications are an excellent tool to:

  1. Formally recognise the contribution volunteers make to an organisation.
  2. Assist in retaining volunteers.
  3. Assist in attracting the right volunteer for a job role.
  4. Formalise existing induction processes.
  5. Formalise volunteer roles to ensure they are working within the scope of their position.
  6. Link volunteers to an organisation's mission.

An enrolment cost per student applies. For more information on SVM's Certificates I, II & III in Active Volunteering, phone Geoff Copeland on 9261 3600 or email info@svm.net.au
