Sydney South West Macarthur 2014 VOYA
October 17th, 2014
Federal Member for Macarthur, Mr Russell Matheson, MP (left) & Natalie Wadell (right)
Natalie has a strong passion for and supports local initiatives for young people to exhibit their HSC artworks. As a former HSC art student, Natalie has experienced first-hand the lack of opportunities for young people to showcase their work and decided to do something about it by establishing Stepping Up Macarthur. The pilot exhibition of Stepping Up Macarthur, a project that allowed HSC Student to exhibit their work for large audiences to appreciate, was held in February 2013 and is now running annually. Working with community partners, Natalie coordinates the project from start to finish each year. Her determination and passion for the work she does helps build a sense of pride in the community and in the works HSC students create.
